Don’t let your heart envy sinners; but rather fear the LORD all the day long. Indeed surely there is a future hope, and your hope will not be cut off.
–Proverbs 23:17-18
“Fear the Lord all the day long,” Solomon says.
Only when you accept Jesus as your Savior can you have a whole new life — a life that fills your heart, soul, and mind with the indescribable joy of God’s blessings and the warmth of His unconditional love. It is a life with the point of view that leads to eternity in heaven. It is the only real and lasting “happily-ever-after” ending.
If you haven’t accepted Jesus as Savior, do so now. You have nothing to gain from waiting. Ask God to open your heart, soul, and mind to the words of the Bible so you can see the truth of who Jesus is and what He did for you through His birth, ministry, death, burial, and resurrection.
If you have already accepted Jesus as your Savior, throw off any ambivalence you have for your relationship with Him. Stop taking your salvation for granted and look at Jesus through the eyes of awe and wonder. Take the time to see your life with Him in a brighter light and experience the whole new life He promises when you put your full faith and trust in Him.
The Savior who never failed will lead you to have a victorious life today, tomorrow, and forever (John 16:33, Hebrews 13:8).
Prayer
Dear God, Thank You for the great hope in Jesus. I want to keep this intimate, sweet connection with Him all day long. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Reflection
The only hope for me to have a victorious life is with Christ. How can I grow even closer to Jesus who loves me so much?
