The LORD your God will make you prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers.
–Deuteronomy 30:9
Many things are more important than money: air to breathe, food and drink, health, relationships that bring love and friendship, skills for work and play, and the peace of knowing Jesus as your Savior.
God knows we need these things. That is why in today’s verse He promises to supply them all, in abundance, when we honor God with the work of our hands.
We were created to have a deep, personal relationship with God. When we become one with God through Jesus, we enjoy unimaginable prosperity; a prosperity that supplies our material needs, provides happiness and peace, and blesses us with a life that knows real joy.
That doesn’t mean there will be no challenges. When you face difficult situations, claim today’s promise. Revisit Deuteronomy 30. Read the entire verse in context and apply that context to your life. But never stop trusting in God.
When you honor Him with your whole self, with your whole life, you will see His promises are always true.
Prayer
Dear Loving Lord, How marvelous You are! Help me to remember to praise You and thank You for Your blessings! Please continue to “rejoice over me for good” all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Reflection
