I am somewhat of a motivational junkie.
I get a kick out of occasionally binge-watching motivational videos on YouTube and looking at weight loss pictures on Instagram, especially when I need encouragement to do an exercise routine.
These videos and pictures remind me that there is nothing inherently unique about my current situation. Others have experienced similar challenges and have overcome them like a flower growing in concrete. If they beat the odds, so can I.
I am so happy that the Bible is filled with stories of overcomers, people who beat the odds and remained faithful to God. I draw strength from their tales of triumph and so can you. Their faithfulness to God ignites a passion in me to pursue Him with all the confidence I can muster because God is rooting for me and He’s rooting for you, too.
Stories of faith and triumph are all around us if we stop and look for them. We might be surprised at how many people have progressed despite setbacks and have triumphed as a result of their confidence in God.
I truly believe God allows these stories to cross our path to remind us of His faithfulness and to encourage us to keep on going.
Prayer
Loving Lord, You allow me to draw strength from the stories of others so my faith is renewed. Thank You for encouraging me to keep on going because I know that in Christ, I have the victory. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
