How to Live Fearlessly

A devotion on Deuteronomy 7:21

You shall not be scared of them; for the LORD your God is among you, a great and awesome God.
–Deuteronomy 7:21

“Fear not,” God tells His children over a hundred times in the Holy Scriptures. But how can we not be afraid of those who give us hard time? The Bible hold some answers:

1. Do not focus on the negatives

Do not make your problem bigger than it really is. Don’t live with a “what if” mentality. Stay positive in your outlook and in your attitude.

2. Remember God is with you

Firmly believe Jesus’ promise that He will be with you (Matthew 28:20).

3. Remember that He is the great and awesome God

God gives us everything we need for every situation and circumstance. He promises to answer us even before we call on Him (Isaiah 65:24).

Great and awesome Holy One, Thank You for taking my sin from me. Please remove all my fears and anxieties as well. Let me live with full confidence that You are with me. Thank You for providing everything I need to live life to the fullest. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
