How Can I Have the Garden of Eden?
A devotion on Isaiah 51:3
For the LORD has comforted Zion. He has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in them, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
The Bible is full of wisdom as to how we can have a positive and peaceful attitude even when everything around us is negative. Today’s verse emphasizes that God wants us to have these things because He loves us.
Through the prophet Isaiah, God tell us that:
He will give us comfort. His grace and mercy bring relief to the problems we experience like nothing else does.
God can change a miserable situation into something beautiful. When my heart was in a desert of sinful consequences, Jesus came in. He brought a beautiful, abundant, and fresh Garden of Eden into my heart. He can do it for you, too.
He promises to fill our hearts with joy and gladness. Knowing Jesus intimately fills the human heart with joy. Thankfulness overwhelms us. That’s why we praise Him!
Dear Heavenly Lord, Thank You for Your comfort. I praise You because of the joy and gladness that come with Your unlimited abundance of blessings. In the beautiful name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
How have I experienced the beauty of God’s joy in my life?
