God Wants to Heal You
A devotion on Matthew 8:16
When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.
God wants to deliver you from any and every stronghold in your life.
He wants to heal you. There are no strings attached. You don’t have to read the fine print; there are no hidden fees.
For many of us, it’s hard to believe that we can be healed from our past trauma because we’ve been slaves to the pain for so long. But in the midst of all of the chaos, God wants to heal your deepest wounds. He longs to heal you because He loves you.
We live in a world where so many people are hurting, imprisoned by the devil, desperately wanting a way out but not knowing how to escape. God’s love for you and me is greater than any prison in which we find ourselves. His love knows no bounds and His commitment to your healing is steadfast.
Just as those who were demon-possessed in Matthew 8 were brought to Him and were healed, your healing will come as you find yourself in God’s presence.
There is a powerful promise for your spiritual healing, a healing that comes as you dive into a love relationship with your Creator. Just like a sick person goes to the doctor to find relief, your spiritual healing will come when you turn to the Healer of your soul, the One who loves you deeply.
What areas in my life hurt me the most? How can I surrender that pain to God? What Bible promises do I claim? What Biblical examples encourage me in my journey to wholeness and spiritual healing?
Dear God, I ask You to heal me and make my spirit healthy, free, and whole. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
