Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says.”
–Mark 11:22-23
There are 1,000,809 mountains in the world.
Many mountain climbers have gladly handed over $30,000 to climb Mount Everest, the tallest mountain above sea level. In some cases, thrill seekers have paid $1,000,000 to climb Mount Everest.
Climbing Mount Everest is no walk in the park. In fact, more than 300 people have lost their lives attempting to reach the top of the famous peak.
Circumstances in life can sometimes feel like climbing Mount Everest.
Just as the world is littered with mountains, life has its own set of challenges. These obstacles seek to impede our progress and keep us stuck.
In Mark 11:22-23, Jesus gives us the solution to overcome any mountain in our lives: have faith in God. To have that faith, we must get to know God on a personal level through prayer and interacting with the Word of God. Faith in God is the dynamite needed to cause the mountains in our lives to crumble because faith is powerfully explosive in the face of obstacles.
God knows about every mountain that stands in your way. He knows how to destroy your mountains and give you peace of mind.
Put your faith in God and watch Him turn the tallest mountain in your life into a stepping stone toward your blessing.
Prayer
