So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
–Hebrews 13:6
You can be bold and audacious when you allow Jesus to be Number One in your life. Then nothing can stand in your way. Even people actively plotting against you will fail.
This isn’t to say people won’t try to bring you down. It also doesn’t mean you won’t ever get your feelings hurt or experience grief or hard times. But it does mean you don’t have to be afraid because Jesus will always make things better.
Daniel knew exactly what I’m talking about.
He was bold and full of audacity when the king signed a decree saying anyone who prayed to God would die. Instead of being afraid, Daniel put his full confidence in God. Yes, God was his helper. No one, not even the cunning politicians around Daniel, could beat God. (Read of Daniel’s divine rescue in Daniel 6.)
Daniel is just one of a long list of people who lived a life of audacity because they trusted God to be there for them.
Why not put your name on the list, too, and let God be YOUR helper!
Prayer
Loving Lord, Thank You for promising to be my helper. Please give me courage. Make me bold and unafraid for You and because of You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Reflection
What will I do to live more boldly for God?
